THE OTTER SIDE is a mobile game that combines endless runner mechanics with cozy village-building progression. Players rescue neighbors swept away in river rapids, then use collected resources to rebuild a storm-damaged community. I serve as Content Strategist and Marketing Lead, responsible for developing the complete content strategy, messaging architecture, and go-to-market positioning from the ground up.


Challenge

The game lives at the intersection of two genres with opposing emotional signatures — adrenaline-driven endless runners and meditative cozy builders — each attracting different player motivations. As a first release from a new studio, marketing needed to unify those identities into a distinct position in an oversaturated mobile landscape while building brand credibility from zero.
